PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a less-expensive storage container for cut flowers in which water contained in a water holding material is hardly allowed to flow outside to the upper side of the container in a positive manner even if the container is laid horizontally. SOLUTION: A lower opening 2a of a cylindrical upper container 2 for use in storing a flower of cut-flower F and an upper opening 3a of a cylindrical lower container 3 for use in storing a stem of cut-flower F are removably fitted to each other. At least the upper container 2 is either transparent or opaque. A water holding material 4 contacted with a cut part of the stem of cut-flower F is arranged at an inner bottom part 3b of the lower container 3 and in turn an inner peripheral surface of the lower container 3 is formed with an annular corrugation 3d acting as a water bank.
