PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of obtaining a still picture with higher definition as processable attribute image information from a network and carrying out printing with high quality on the basis of metadata included in the image information distributed through broadcasting. SOLUTION: The image receiver analyzes the metadata attached to an image supplied from an image supply apparatus 100 such as a broadcast station, checks the location of an image with relatively higher definition with respect to the same expression object, accesses the location of a corresponding server 400 to acquire high definition image data, and carries out print processing with high quality to the utmost extent in matching with the capability of a print processing section 333.
