<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for surface treatment, which enables improvements of the product quality, the manufacturing efficiency, and the added value of a painted product. <P>SOLUTION: The method for surface treatment includes a step for arranging a workpiece, a step for forming necessary graphic symbols on the surface of the workpiece by performing a laser engraving process on the surface of the workpiece by means of laser engraving equipments, and a step for applying a protective hard film on the workpiece after the laser engraving process. The surface treatment for exterior components made of metal and non-metal is performed by introducing the laser engraving process. As a result, necessary marks, ornamental patterns, and effective hair lines are engraved. After that, a transparent hard film is formed on the workpiece by spraying. By such method, the improvement of the product quality, the manufacturing efficiency, and the added value of a painted product can be achieved. The method can produce metallic products having unique and excellent ornaments applied to their surfaces by complexly combining the method with conventional painting processes, printing processes, laser engraving processes, etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
