PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applicator capable of easily performing uniform coating even in a field execution in which coating is performed on glasses, external wall surfaces or the like, regardless of the viscosity of a coating solution, classification of aqueous/organic solvent series, existence of fine particles in sol, concentration, and horizontal/vertical conditions of a coated substrate, and plane/curved surface. SOLUTION: The coating applicator is one configured by laminating a feeding solution layer that holds and feeds the coating solution and a coating film forming layer that coats the solution fed from the feeding solution layer onto the coated substrate, and the feeding solution layer and coating film forming layer independently comprise at least a kind of porous elastomer which is different from another. In addition, the coating applicator is configured by laminating the feeding solution layer and coating film layer and further laminating a support layer on the feeding solution layer.
