摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a metallic catalytic carrier, by which a quadrangular cell can be formed with high precision. <P>SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the metallic catalytic carrier comprises the steps of: laminating many corrugated sheets 10 of metallic foil, in each of which a mountain and a valley are continued alternately at a constant pitch, on one another in the thickness direction so that the adjacent corrugated sheets are shifted to each other by half a pitch and butting the tops of opposed mountains of the adjacent corrugated sheets against each other to form a honeycomb laminated body 20 having many quadrangular cells; diffusion-bonding the formed laminated body 20 while pressing the laminated body 20 to the laminated direction of the corrugated sheets by using a tool 30; withdrawing the diffusion-bonded laminated body 20 from the tool 30 and housing the withdrawn laminated body in an outer cylinder 25.
