The invention relates to a device and a method for the stacking of piece goods in a transport container. According to the invention, the direct stacking of even several adjacent stacks in a transport container may be achieved fully automatically and with high capacity with simple but effective means, whereby a transfer conveyor (5) is arranged directly beneath the supply conveyor (3), which may be horizontally displaced from a take-on position for the piece goods (2), to a dispensing position in which the piece goods (2) on the transport belt (6) of the transfer conveyor (5) are arranged above the stacking position (A; B), provided for the same in the transport container (8) and, in order to dispense the piece goods (2) into the transport container (8), the transfer conveyor (5) may be withdrawn into the take-on position with the same speed as the support side of the transport belt (6) of the transfer conveyor (5) is moving in the opposite direction (10), relative to the transfer conveyor (5). |
