<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk having a DVD recording layer of double layers and a BD recording layer of a single layer which simultaneously satisfies reflectance of at least a DVD-ROM standard and a BD-ROM standard. <P>SOLUTION: On one surface of a substrate 12, a recording layer 11 consisting of a first information pit string based on the DVD-ROM standard and a reflection film 11a are formed. On one surface of the substrate 15, the substrate 15 has a recording layer 13 consisting of a second information pit string based on the DVD-ROM standard and a reflection film 13a. On the other surface of the substrate 15, the substrate 15 has a recording layer 14 consisting of a third information pit string based on the BD-ROM standard and a reflection film 14a.
