<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel microorganism which simultaneously produces carotenoid pigments and sphingoglycolipids and furthermore produces ubiquinone Q-10, and a method for producing the pigment, glycolipid and ubiquinone Q-10 using the microorganism. <P>SOLUTION: The novel Sphingomonus, JPCCMB0017, has production ability of both carotenoid pigments and sphingoglycolipids, and furthermore has production ability of ubiquinone Q-10.
