PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which can be fitted to either of the right side and the left side of a vehicle, and also, maintains the tire performance on an ice/snow road. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire 1 has a block pattern comprising a plurality of blocks 2 and 3 dotted with spike pins 7. In the pneumatic tire 1, a grounding pattern when being fitted on the right side of a vehicle, and a grounding pattern when being fitted on the left side are symmetrical in the lateral direction. Also, when a direction in which the rigidity of the blocks becomes maximum is defined as the rigidity direction of the blocks, the block 2 is arranged with the rigidity direction approximately facing the tire peripheral direction in a tread region located on the inside of the vehicle under a state in which the tire is fitted on the vehicle.
