HOLOGRAM RECORDING DEVICE AND HOLOGRAM RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram recording device in which the upsizing and complication of the hologram recording device caused by the use of a phase shifter due to electronic or mechanical control are averted and high-accuracy two-dimensional image light operation can be performed by a small-sized, simple and inexpensive optical system.

SOLUTION: The hologram recording device is equipped with a double Mach-Zehunder interference optical system utilizing incident light from both faces of a beam splitter 14 as the optical system for irradiating a photorefractive medium 11 with object light 19 and reference 20. Recording of second two-dimensional images is performed in the state of making the light from another direction different from the irradiation direction of the light to the beam splitter 14 incident when the first two-dimensional images are recorded. Thereby, the hologram as a result of the XOR operation of the first and second two-dimensional images can be recorded.
