APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATICALLY DETECTING BER MEASUREMENT SIGNAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of executing BER measurement even when no prescribed signal is received by a prescribed input terminal of the apparatus.

SOLUTION: The apparatus (40) for automatically detecting kinds of serial signals used for the BER measurement includes: an input means (41); a detection means (42); and a selector (43). The input means (41) inputs at least two signals including a data signal and a clock signal with a period equivalent to 1-bit of the data signal. The detection means (42) detects at least kinds of the two signals and discriminates which of the two signals is the clock signal or the data signal. The selector (43) outputs the signal discriminated to be the clock signal or the data signal from a terminal for the clock signal or the data signal.
