PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work transport device where occurrence of trouble can previously be prevented without increasing disconnection countermeasure cost. SOLUTION: The work transport device transporting a lead frame is constituted of respective rails 81 to 83 and a work feeding device. A support block 84 supporting the respective rails 81 to 83 is supported by a lifting mechanism 87 so that it freely goes up and down. The lifting mechanism 87 is constituted of a plate cam 91 and a cam follower 92 arranged in the support block 84. The cam follower 92 which horizontally moves the plate cam 91 and rolls a cam face 93 is vertically moved. Thus, the support block 84 where the cam follower 92 is disposed and the respective rails 81 to 83 are made to go up and down, and the respective rails 81 to 83 are constituted to go up and down with respect to the respective transport pawls of the work feeding device.
