<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical packet processing apparatus which joins the optical packets mutually at high speed with optical signals even if they are asynchronous optical packets, while suppressing an increase of a circuit scale. <P>SOLUTION: An improvement is applied to the optical packet processing apparatus which outputs the optical packets transmitted by a plurality of input side optical transmission lines by joining an optical coupler to an output side optical transmission line. The apparatus is provided with a delay means to delay a desired optical packet for each input optical transmission line.
