RED TONER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environmentally-friendly red toner and an image forming apparatus by providing a red toner capable of bright color development and having high light and water resistances.

SOLUTION: The toner for electrophotography includes at least a fixing resin and a colorant, wherein C.I. Pigment Red 170 or C.I. Pigment Red 48:3 and C.I. Pigment Yellow 180 and/or C.I. Pigment yellow 155 are included as the colorant of the toner for electrophotography, and the ratio between the C.I. Pigment Red 170 or C.I. Pigment Red 48:3 and the C.I. Pigment Yellow 180 and/or C.I. Pigment yellow 155 is within a range of 1:10 to 10:1. The toner gives a toner image whose chroma defined by JIS Z8729 is ≥60.
