PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-calcined color pencil lead which has good water resistance, remarkably excellent mechanical strengths such as tensile strength, bending strength and impact strength, and has smooth touch. SOLUTION: This non-calcined color pencil lead comprising at least a colorant, an extender and a binder is characterized in that the binder is polyvinyl alcohol having a saponification degree of≥90 mol%. The polyvinyl alcohol has preferably a water dissolution viscosity of≤300 mPa s (4%/20°C) and/or a polymerization degree of 100 to 4,000. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
