<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-costed elevator control device by using one charging device for a capacitor in a main circuit and for a storage battery in a charging circuit in common. <P>SOLUTION: The elevator control device is provided with an inverter for outputting the alternating current power for driving a motor of an elevator, a converter connected to an alternating current power source to supply the direct current power to the inverter, a smoothing capacitor for smoothing the direct current power output from the converter, a driving device for controlling drive of the motor by controlling the inverter, and a charging device for supplying the power to the smoothing capacitor when the power is not supplied from the converter. The elevator control device is also provided with an interruption-of-service detecting device for detecting loss of the power supply from the alternating current power source and the storage battery to be connected to the smoothing capacitor and the inverter to supply the direct current power when the interruption-of-service detecting device detects loss of the power source, and the storage battery is charged from the alternating current power source by the charging device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
