PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a plurality of workers to efficiently refer to or update files while maintaining consistency of related files, when a plurality of workers develop software, that is, when a server manages a plurality of files and a plurality of clients acquire and edit the files. SOLUTION: A server resource management program manages checkouts of file resources on a table for each file and, while a plurality of clients check out the same file, when one client performs edit and update processing, notifies the other clients of the effect and sends the check-in file thereto.
