PURPOSE:A germicidal composition, containing a specific compound and 3'- isopropoxy-2-methylbenzanilide as an active constituent and capable of controlling bacterial grain rot and sheath blight of rice plants at the same time with a smaller amount of a chemical than the use of the single agent by synergistic effect thereof. CONSTITUTION:A germicidal composition containing 1-ethyl-1,4-dihydro-6,7- methylenedioxy-4-oxo-quinolinic acid which is a penetrating plant blight controlling agent and 3'-isopropoxy-2-methylbenzanilide which is an excellent germicide against sheath blight of rice plants at 1:0.2-1:10 weight ratio as an active constituent. The above-mentioned composition may be directly used, but is preferably mixed with a carrier or adjuvant and formulated into wettable powder, suspension, dust, etc., or directly or diluted with water and applied to stems and leaves. The content of the active constituent in the above-mentioned formulation is 0.1-99.9%. EFFECT:The composition is preferred for aspects of environmental pollution, safety, etc. |
