PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state electrolytic capacitor which can be simplified in structure and be reduced in ESL by solving the problem of a bad ESL characteristic which is due to a long lead-out distance from a capacitor element to a terminal. SOLUTION: An anode portion and a cathode portion of the capacitor element 1 which uses a conductive polymer as a solid-state electrolyte are bonded on the top faces of an anode terminal 10 and a cathode terminal 11, and all these components are coated with an insulating coating resin 12 to fabricate the solid-state electrolytic capacitor. In the solid-state electrolytic capacitor, the anode terminal 10 and the cathode terminal 11 are formed flat and are so arranged that the bottom faces which will become mounting faces may be arranged on one and the same reference surface. Thin portions 10a and 11a are formed in the anode terminal 10 and cathode terminal 11 by thinning both end parts of these terminals except for central portion of the bottom faces. Due to this structure, the lead-out distance from the capacitor element 1 to the terminals can be shortened, which brings about a superior ESR characteristic and a low ESL.
