A reversible hinge comprises one member A consisting of a mounting plate 1 and a pintle pin 4 extending from the root portion 3 and a second member B having a mounting plate 5 and cylindrical sockets 7a, 7b at opposite side boundaries, the sockets being mutually parallel and detachable and selectively engageable with the pin, so that by raising B and lifting one socket 7a off the pin 4, B can be inverted to engage the other socket 7b on the pin 4. If as shown, member B is attached to an edge P1 of a panel P, e.g. a door or flap the panel can be reversed face for face, and if two hinges of this form are equally spaced from the opposite ends of panel .edge, the panel will have the same location in the positions obtained by changing over the members B of the hinges. |
