SYSTEM FOR THE PRODUCTION OF DESALINATED WATER ONBOARD VESSELS, PARTICULARLY SINGLE-HULL VESSELS

The invention relates to a system for the production of desalinated water onboard vessels, particularly single-hull vessels. The inventive system comprises a series of wind generators (12) which are disposed in the bow and stern areas of the vessel and which are aligned in the same direction as said vessel. The energy gathered by the wind generators (12) is transferred to high-pressure pumps (4) which power reverse osmosis units (5) for the production of desalinated water (6, 7, 8). The system also comprises ballast tanks which are used to provide stability and storage tanks for the salt water. The water or product (9) leaves the vessel through a potable water pipe (13) which conveys same to the distribution system on land. The vessel is anchored to a floating buoy and can rotate around same through 360º.
