摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover the capacity of a battery in its early stage by controlling the charge and discharge properly, according to the operating situation of a vehicle or the residual capacity of the battery, and accelerating the temperature rise by the internal heat generation of the battery. <P>SOLUTION: In case that the temperature of a cell is under a prescribed temperature and that there is no request for assistance or request for regeneration, this controller computes the torque of a motor from the quantity of charge/discharge power of a battery (S7), and decides the charge mode or discharge mode in pulse charge/discharge and controls the generator via an engine (S11). At this time, the amount of torque being added to the requested engine torque being engine-directed torque is absorbed with the motor torque and it becomes a charge mode, and the amount of torque short of the requested engine torque is added with motor torque, and it becomes a discharge mode.
