PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device to record new contents of recording on an object of recording whose writing position is predetermined.

SOLUTION: The recording device has: a reading section to read a writing position from the object of recording; a recorded object detection section to detect the position of the object of recording in the recording device; a recording head to record on the object of recording; an input section to accept the input of the contents of recording to be recorded on the object of recording; a writing position control section to control the relative position of the recording head with the object of recording and align the writing position in the object of recording with the position facing the recording head; and a recording control section to record the contents of recording inputted in the input section in the writing position of the object of recording aligned with the position facing the recording head.
