PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-generation device for a bicycle pedal with a simple structure and easy product launch requiring no speed-booster mechanism, capable of intermittently, stably and certainly obtaining power required for load even if a rotation speed of a pedal crank shaft is a low speed, fluctuation of an induced voltage is small even if the rotation speed of the pedal crank shaft is varied. SOLUTION: A braking magnet for braking rotation of a rotation magnet is provided. The rotation magnet is rotatable interlocked with a pedal shaft and is made to a turnable structure relative to the pedal shaft. As a result, the rotation magnet is intermittently rotated relative to a power generation coil and a period when it momentarily rotates at a quick speed is generated. At that time, rotation force acting on the rotation magnet is not affected by the rotation speed of the pedal crank shaft and fluctuation of the induced voltage can be reduced.
