<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recorder capable of easily determining the optimum value of the recording power of a laser beam by each disk, and to provide a recording power control method. <P>SOLUTION: The information recorder 1 includes a pickup unit 20 for recording information to the optical disk 10; an RF amplifier 30 for receiving a reproduction signal GN from the pickup unit 20; and a CPU 40 for receiving the RF signal from the RF amplifier 30. When the I14H level of the RF signal does not reach a prescribed level being not more than a saturation value, the CPU 40 transmits a laser power raising command from the RF amplifier 30 to the pickup unit 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
