PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively form expansion slots in a printing device having expansion slots and supporting a power saving mode. SOLUTION: The printing device has expansion slots of the printing device, a detachable expansion board, an expansion slot controller to control the expansion slots and a power supply, a normally energizable power supply, a power cutting circuit that can be cut during a power saving mode in the expansion board and realizes a power-saving mode by connecting a control line to control the power cutting circuit from the expansion slot controller through an expansion interface and controlling.
