PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meteorological information distribution image capable of knowing visually a position of an anticyclone, a cyclone, a front or the like, in a system providing meteorological information. SOLUTION: In this meteorological information providing system, map data including sites of meteorological observation points are accumulated, a meteorological observation data, such as the AMEDAS of the Meteorological Agency is received; the maximum value of the received data, the second value from the maximum, the minimum value and the second value from the minimum are detected; the coloring code of the each data is determined, based on a relation between values of the received respective data; the maximum value, the second value from the maximum, the minimum value and the second value from the minimum detected therein, the values of the data are written on a stored map, using colors for preparing the meteorological information distribution image; and the prepared meteorological information distribution image is arranged over a network for users to browse it.
