PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle type vehicle capable of improving visibility of a lens surface of a lamp in the vehicle width direction and a lens surface of the lamp in the vertical direction and also to provide a lamp mounting method. SOLUTION: The saddle type vehicle has at least a trunk box unit 20, a tail lamp unit 30, and a flasher unit 40a. The trunk box unit 20 has a lid part 21 which is either one surface in the forward and rearward direction of the saddle type vehicle 10 and is a surface directed outside of the saddle type vehicle 10. The tail lamp unit 30 has a lens surface 31 of the tail lamp extending in the vehicle width direction of the saddle type vehicle 10. The flasher unit 40a has a lens surface 41a of the flasher extending in the vertical direction of the saddle type vehicle 10.
