PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and a control method or the like avoiding missing of image data in the case of wirelessly transmitting the image data. SOLUTION: When the imaging apparatus wirelessly transmits the image data to a server apparatus (step S107) and the transmission of the image data to the server apparatus fails (step S108/N), the imaging apparatus (digital camera) records the image data transmitted to the server apparatus to a storage medium in the imaging apparatus (step S109).
