<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to view recorded contents utilizing provided natural chapters corresponding to scenes or contents of broadcasting contents, without a sense of incompatibility. <P>SOLUTION: A digital broadcast transmitter 100 broadcasts chapter instruction data, while attaching them to contents, giving instructing to impart chapter division information at an intended position on the time axis of the contents to be broadcasted. The chapter instruction data are created by a content attached data creating unit 105, multiplexed on a transport stream of broadcasting contents in a multiplexing unit 107, and transmitted from a transmission unit 108.
