The method involves establishing a section of data link (101) between a subscriber and a node. Another node is determined based on identity information in a request sent by the subscriber, by the former node. Another section of the link (103) is established between the latter node with another subscriber based on the request. A message is sent from the latter to former node to establish third section of the link (102) between the nodes. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method for setting up a peer-to-peer data connection between two subscribers in a packet switching cellular mobile radio network.
