PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for producing a side by side type conjugate fiber having an extremely simple structure excellent in processability, and easily coping with the changes of number of layers, layer arrangements, ratios of components among layers, etc., which are considered to be inconvenient for the side by side structure, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This device for producing the side by side type conjugate fiber is provided by using≥2 different kinds of spinning stock solutions (A, B) and being equipped with a conjugate flow-forming part (10) concentrically forming in a plurality of layers of more than the number of the spinning stock solutions, a linear cylindrical pipe (20) connected with the conjugate flow-forming part (10) and a spinning nozzle (30) mounted at the tip end of the cylindrical pipe (20) and having a plurality of ejection holes arranged on the same circumference. The conjugate flow-forming part (10) has feeding pipes (15, 16) for each of≥2 different kinds of the spinning stock solutions (A, B), also each of the feeding pipes (15, 16) has branched pipes (15a, 15b, 16a, 16b), each of the branched pipes (15a, 15b, 16a, 16b) is arranged with each of switching valves (17a, 17b, 18a, 18b), and stock solution amount-changing means capable of changing the feeding amount of each of the spinning stock solutions by optional ratios are provided for each of the branched pipes (15a, 15b, 16a, 16b).
