PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for preparing a crosslinked polymer particle at a high solid level. SOLUTION: There is provided a method for preparing a crosslinked polymer particle at a high solid level (namely, >40 wt%). Also provided is a method for predicting whether a selection of reaction conditions for preparing a crosslinked polymer particle will or will not exhibit a potential for forming a gel and also a method for predicting whether a selection of reaction conditions will or will not result in the formation of a gel.
