PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for EGR gas, declining a degree of engine cooling water temperature dependance of EGR gas temperature by improving cooling efficiency of an EGR cooler, and reducing thermal load of an engine. SOLUTION: This cooling device for EGR gas comprises a branch circulation passage 6 branched from a downstream side cooling water passage of a water pump 3 arranged on a cooling water passage 2 of the engine 1 and connected with an upstream side cooling water passage of the water pump 3, the EGR cooler 7 arranged on the branch circulation passage 6 and cooling EGR gas, and a radiator 9 for EGR connected with the downstream side of the branch circulation passage 6 from the EGR cooler 7. The cooling device for EGR gas declines the degree of engine cooling water temperature dependance of EGR gas temperature and reduces the thermal load of the engine 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
