PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a measuring precision by suppressing fluctuations in a spectroscope performance for spectrally diffracting the light from a light source having wavelength characteristics. SOLUTION: The optical physiological data measuring instrument 1 is equipped with a light source 2 having wavelength characteristics changed in light intensity with respect to a wavelength, a spectroscope 16 for spectrally diffracting the light over a predetermined wavelength band from the light source 2 and a control unit 17 for controlling the wavelength of the light emitted from the spectroscope 16. The control units 17 controls the emitted pattern of a wavelength so as to reduce the temporal change in the intensity of the light emitted from the spectroscope 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
