PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image transmission apparatus capable of transmitting a plurality of medical images to a medical image output device in an appropriate order based on incidental information. SOLUTION: CPU (central processing unit) 10 of the medical image transmission apparatus, at every time of capturing medical image data outputted from a modality 3, stores the data in a capture image table 72, recognizes the medical image data as characters to obtain the incidental information and sequentially store it in the capture image table 72. Then, the CPU rearranges the capture image table 72 so that the image numbers in the incidental information become an ascending order and updates it. The CPU 10 allocates and rearranges the medical image data in frame positions of respective pages of output image data 74 in the order stored in the updated capture image table 72. If a printer of a transmission printer name 66 ia a face-up feed type, the CPU inverses the transmission order of the respective pages of the output image data 74 and transmits them to the printer.
