The device has two conductance electrodes (10, 12), and two flux line blinding devices (14, 16) that are attached to the conductance electrodes, where flux lines are influenced and guided between the conductance electrodes. One of the blinding devices has a sealed surface, on which the conductance electrodes are arranged. The blinding devices have a housing wall of a housing for the device. An independent claim is also included for a household appliance with a device for measuring conductivity of fluid.
