A chemical liquid infusion system, wherein only when a cylinder holding mechanism properly holds chemical liquid syringes of various sizes through a cylinder adapter, a piston drive mechanism is driven. When the chemical liquid syringe (200S) of a size other than the maximum is properly held on the cylinder holding mechanism (120), an RFID chip (230) fitted to the chemical liquid syringe (200S) is positioned at the rear-side of the metal cylinder holding mechanism (120). A pair of resonance antennas (133) are positioned on both right and left sides of the cylinder holding mechanism, and an RFID reader (131) is positioned on the underside thereof. When the chemical liquid syringe (200S) is properly held on the cylinder holding mechanism (120), the RFID chip (230) positioned parallel with the resonance antennas (133) satisfactorily communicates by radio with the RFID reader (131), and only in this state, the piston drive mechanism can be operated.
