<p>A power supply apparatus for supplying power to a computer device or the like, wherein in case of power failure, a sufficient amount of power can be supplied, the structure is simple and an excellent cost-effectiveness is achieved. The power supply apparatus comprises a rectifier (2) for rectifying an AC voltage supplied from an AC power supply source; a voltage stabilizing circuit in which a smoothing capacitor (4) connected to the rectifier is further connected in parallel to a voltage holding capacitor (6), which has a larger capacitance than the smoothing capacitor, via a resistor (8); a voltage converting circuit (14) DC/DC converts an output voltage from the voltage stabilizing circuit to a lower voltage; and a power failure detecting circuit (12) for detecting a power failure of the AC power supply source.</p> |
