PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photonic crystal of three-dimensional structure having a broad and sharp band gap and its manufacturing method, and to provide a structure for manufacturing the photonic crystal and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: Monodispersing particles are put in a concave part 1a of a container 1 with the concave part 1a of a regular quadrangular pyramid shape shown in Figure, are arranged in a three-dimensional space by giving vibration thereto and then fellow adjoining monodispersing particles are joined with a neck by sintering to manufacture the structure. Gaps of the structure are impregnated with a dielectric resin and the resin is hardened to form a complex. The complex is dipped in a solution which dissolves only the structure. The monodispersing particles exposed on a complex surface are dissolved, then the monodispersing particles adjoining via the neck are successively dissolved and thus the structure is completely dissolved.
