PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost medical laser apparatus greatly miniaturized, having a superior beam quality, and providing multi-wavelength laser beams suited to a treatment.
SOLUTION: This medical laser apparatus is provided with: a laser beam source emitting the laser beams of a first wavelength λ1 and a second wavelength λ2; a Raman fiber shifting the wavelength of the laser beam by stimulated Raman scattering, formed with a first fiber Bragg grating (FBG), or a laser resonator of λ1' different from λ1 and formed with a second FBG, or a laser resonator of λ2' different from λ2; a first wavelength conversion element converting the output laser beam of λ1' into its second harmonic; a second wavelength conversion element converting the laser beam of λ2' into its second harmonic; and an optical waveguide system guiding the laser beam whose wavelength is converted, onto tissues of a patient. The laser apparatus is so formed that the respective FBGs are constituted to mutually independently generate the laser beams of λ1' and λ2'.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
