PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming method using a servo press by which load on equipment in a compound working is reduced and the total working time is shortened. SOLUTION: The forming method performs the composite working by an upper die 2 and a lower die 6 by using a servo press, wherein a slide 1 is lowered and pressed and held at the bottom dead center to draw a work W, then the slide 1 is elevated from the bottom dead center by a slight stroke ST3 and stopped without maintaining the pressure on the work W, and the drawn work W is pierced by a pierce punch 11 which is lowered by the advancing operation of a hydraulic cylinder 14.
