<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a batten device 16 allowing a batten 26 to be lifted, and horizontally moved and rotated, capable of improving the degree of freedom of setting of the batten 26, and of improving operability of the batten 26. <P>SOLUTION: A base 48 is horizontally movably supported by a moving mechanism 30. The base 48 is provided with a lifting mechanism 27 for lifting and lowering the batten 26, and a rotating mechanism 28 for horizontally rotating the batten 26. The base 48 is also provided with an operation part 54 for operating the movement of the base 48, and the operation part 54 is provided with a handle 55 for operating the rotating mechanism 28, whereby operability of the horizontal movement and rotation of the batten 26 is improved.
