PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propeller shaft which can securely advance fracture of the propeller shaft together with fracture of a body in the event of crash and can sufficiently reveal energy absorption effect by the body while satisfying fundamental demand such as torsional strength and critical rotation frequency. SOLUTION: The propeller shaft includes a cylindrical body made of FRP and a coupling which provides to adjoin to end of the body. The body contains a main layer which extends over entire length of the main body and a portion layer which provides in one piece with the main layer in end of the body. The propeller shaft is configured so that peel strength between the layers of axial direction of the main layer and the portion layer is between more than 5MPa and less than 30 MPa.
