PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization resistant cloth excellent in dust-preventing property, hydrolytic decomposition resistance on its sterilizing wash-treating, also without lowering its tearing strength, and capable of preventing the splashed body fluid such as blood, etc., from penetrating, and medical articles suitable for a clean room wear such as a surgical gown, etc., consisting of the sterilization resistant cloth. SOLUTION: This polyester filament for the sterilization resistant cloth having≥0.6 dtex and <2 dtex monofilament fineness consists of a polyethylene terephthalate having 0.6-0.7 intrinsic viscosity and≤30 eq/t amount of carboxyl terminals, and can suitably be used for the sterilization resistant cloth.
