PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acrylic modified cross-section fiber which has soft and waxy touch and stiffness, and can give fiber products excellent appearance grades and gloss. SOLUTION: This acrylic modified cross-section fiber containing acrylonitrile in an amount of≥50 wt.% is characterized by having a cross-section flatness (a/b) of 2 to 10 which is represented by a ratio of the maximum length (a) of the major axis to the maximum length (b) of the minor axis in the cross-section of the acrylic modified cross-section fiber, having an acute angle portion in at least one portion of the outer periphery in the fiber cross-section, having a curved portion in at least one portion of the outer periphery, and having an inside angle of 10 to 60°in the acute angle portion.
