PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin processor which can discriminate whether to be able to receive a coin and the denomination of the coin at a high speed and can be manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: This coin processor is provided with a coin passage 2 for carrying coins, a reference guiderail 3, wherein the coin passage 2 guides the coins by the inner wall of the reference guiderail, a guiderail 4 provided so as to face the reference guiderail across the coin passage 2, carrying belts 6 and 8 for carrying the coins while holding the coins with the surface of the coin passage 2, and a coin discriminating means 10 for discriminating denominations of the coins. The coin discriminating means 10 is configured to be able to discriminate n types of coin denominations (n is integer≥4). The coin processor is provided with at least two diameter detection sensors 16 and 17 provided at positions with different intervals from the reference guiderail 3 and for detecting the coins and a material quality sensor 19 for detecting the material quality of the coins.
