<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand shower device which does not impose restrictions on the way to hold a showerhead, and which can be properly used even with one hand. <P>SOLUTION: This hand shower device comprises the showerhead which is attached to a leading end of a water supply hose and wherein a spout for ejecting hot and cold water is formed, an opening/closing means for opening/closing a passage leading to the water supply hose, and a control means for controlling the opening/closing means.
