PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable stapler which has its rear aperture positively blocked and exhibits good appearance. SOLUTION: The portable stapler is formed of a base frame 1 and an operating frame 6 which are pivotally mounted on each other via their rear-end base portions, respectively, in a manner rotatable with respect to each other, and a staple housing frame 5 arranged between both the frames. The stapler is comprised of a curved sheathing piece 15 which is formed of an elastically deformable material and bulged rearward. The sheathing piece 15 has its proximal end fastened to the base portion of the base frame 1 and its distal end inserted inside the operating frame as a free end. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
