PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small size exhaust heat recovery muffler of a simple structure. SOLUTION: An exhaust heat recovery part 2 is arranged to cover outer side of the muffler part 1, and a change over valve 32 switching exhaust gas flowing to the muffler part 1 and exhaust gas flowing to the exhaust heat recovery pat 2. An outer pipe 6 of the muffler part 1 and a cylindrical shell 16 of the exhaust heat recovery part 2 covering the outer circumference of the outer pipe 6 are concentrically arranged. The exhaust heat recovery part 2 is provided with a heat exchanging chamber 22 formed by a pair of partition plates 18, 20 provided between an inner circumference of the shell 16 and the outer circumference of the outer pipe 6, and is provided with a small diameter pipe 24 penetrating through a pair of the partition plates 18, 20 and passing in the heat exchanging chamber 22 to circulate exhaust gas in the small diameter pipe 24 and circulate heat exchange medium in the heat exchanging chamber 22. The muffler part 1 is provided with an inner pipe 4 in which exhaust gas passes through and the outer pipe 6 covering an outside of the inner pipe 4.
